The development of healthy bones starts during gestation and continues as long as the horse is growing. Healthy bones and joints are crucial for a horse's health and future performance. Nutrition plays an essential role here. With Pavo Podo®Care, you provide a mineral balancer with the essential building blocks in the right ratio, without feeding additional energy and proteins.  

Podo®: the proven concept for healthy bone development

Pavo has always done a lot of research into the ideal feed for the breeding world and from here the Pavo Podo® concept has been developed. The Podo® concept is an unique mineral complex that is scientifically proven to decrease the probability of developing OC(D) in young horses by 50%. Pavo Podo®Care is enriched with this unique and proven Podo® concept and, therefore, optimally supports healthy bone development.

Balancer for growing horses and overweight mares

Pavo Podo®Care provides all the vitamins, minerals and trace elements your horse needs, but does not contain additional energy and protein. Therefore, it is very suitable for pregnant mares (from 9 months of gestation onwards) that easily become overweight when feeding concentrates. In that case, the mare does not need additional energy and protein, but with feeding Pavo Podo®Care you guarantee that the foal receives all the essential building blocks that are necessary for a healthy (bone) development. Pavo Podo®Care is also suitable for growing horses that get overweight easily. Overweight in growing horses is not beneficial as it impairs healthy development.

Update: Pavo Podo®Care previously consisted of two differently coloured pellets. During optimisation of the formulation, the white pellet was removed. From now on, Podo®Care consists exclusively of a brown pellet. The packaging will be updated later this year to reflect the new formulation and correct product image.
