Pavo 18Plus Fibre

Easy-to-eat roughage mix

Beoordeling: 0/5

When the dental function of a horse decreases, it becomes more difficult to provide your horse with the most important component of the diet: fibres. Pavo 18Plus Fibre is an easy-to-eat mix of (short) fibres and therefore can replace normal roughage, like: hay & silage.

Fibres are the most important nutrient for a horse to take in. Without fibres horses cannot survive. For this reason, it is extremely important to provide fibres to your horse, also when they are not able to consume the regular fibre sources like hay or silage. Pavo 18Plus Fibre enables these horses, who (temporarily) cannot eat roughage (fibres), to still take in fibres and remain in a good condition.

Roughage replacer

Horses with a decreased dental function are less capable of consuming long fibres (>3cm), like hay, haylage and silage. Fibres shorter than three centimeters are easier to chew. For that reason, all fibres in Pavo 18Plus Fibre are short (<3 cm). Additionally, the stems of the fibres are soft and therefore not likely to create damage in the digestive tract, in relation to the limited chewing. In contrast to many other roughage replacers, Pavo 18Plus does not contain alfalfa.

Grainfree, very low in sugar

Pavo 18Plus Fibre contains no grains, molasses or any other sugar additives. The sugar and starch level is very low. As a result, Pavo 18Plus Fibre is suitable for horses that are in need of low-sugar or grainfree diets.
