Pavo ProteinPlus

Highly concentrated protein source

Pavo ProteinPlus contains high quality proteins (essential amino acids) and has been specially developed to supplement a protein deficit in the daily feed ration.

"About Pavo ProteinPlus

With poor quality roughage, grain-free rations or an increased protein requirement (e.g. sport horses or old horses) your horse often does not get enough protein to meet its daily needs. With Pavo ProteinPlus you only add essential amino acids (protein) to your ration. In this way you easily fill the protein deficit to optimally support the overall health of your horse, without further influencing the ration.

Why horses need enough protein

Proteins are made up of individual building blocks, amino acids, and are crucial to a variety of body processes. For example, protein serves your horse's immune system, coat and hoof growth, and enables cell renewal. In addition, proteins are essential for muscle development and regulating hormonal functions, as well as for foal growth and milk production in broodmares. Sufficient protein in the ration is therefore not only important for muscles as many people think, but indispensable for a healthy horse.

When supplementing with a protein supplement makes sense

Numerous forage analyses show that the protein content of our hay is getting lower and lower. Even so low that the daily protein requirement can no longer be covered for horses on maintenance. Let alone for horses which exercise intensively or pregnant / lactating mares. Supplementing with a protein rich concentrate feed is then an option, but this will often also provide energy and vitamins and minerals which your horse may not need. An exclusive protein source, such as Pavo ProteinPlus, is then the perfect solution! "
