Pavo supports equestrian organisations through charity days
Supporting horses goes beyond nutrition. As part of its Pavo Planet program, Pavo has organised two charity days in Germany and the Netherlands. On these days, colleagues stepped away from their desks to donate something just as valuable as products or funding: their time and their hands-on effort.
What makes these initiatives special is that they are driven by people from across the entire company. Rather than sending a single department, Pavo brings together colleagues from every corner of the business, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Customer Service. Everyone works side by side towards a shared goal: giving something back to the horses, riders and organisations that form the heart of the equestrian community.
Improving trails at Stichting Paardenvrienden Midden Veluwe
In the Netherlands, the Pavo team spent a full working day at Stichting Paardenvrienden Midden Veluwe, contributing to a project that benefits both riders and nature. Together with the organisation, the team helped improve approximately 3.1 km of riding path, making it more accessible and enjoyable while protecting the surrounding environment.
Stichting Paardenvrienden Midden Veluwe is dedicated to creating and maintaining safe, high-quality riding routes through one of the region's most beautiful natural landscapes. The organisation relies largely on volunteers, which makes every extra pair of hands a genuine help. By donating a day of labour, Pavo colleagues were able to make a tangible difference, the kind that riders in the area will feel with every ride for years to come.
A helping hand for Pferde & Esel in Not
In Germany, the Pavo team recently took part in a Charity Day at the 4 Hufe Hof in Höxter-Stahle. Located at In der Bülte, 37671 Höxter-Stahle, the farm is a rescue centre operated by the association Pferde und Esel in Not e.V., which provides a safe haven for mistreated and neglected horses and donkeys.
Colleagues from various departments joined forces to help get the farm back into shape. They rolled up their sleeves for a range of practical tasks around the site, including building a new round pen for the animals.
The team at Pferde und Esel in Not cares for animals that have been neglected, abandoned or are in need of a fresh start. They carry out this important work with enormous dedication, often with limited resources but a great deal of heart. By donating a day of manpower, Pavo colleagues were able to ease some of the daily workload and support the organisation’s mission in a direct and practical way.
Part of something bigger
Days such as these form an important part of Pavo Planet, the company's approach to sustainability. Alongside reducing its environmental impact, Pavo actively looks for ways to make a positive contribution to the wider equestrian community and to the organisations that care for horses every single day.
For Pavo, this is what caring for horses truly means: it starts with good nutrition, but it certainly doesn't end there. Sometimes the most meaningful support is simply showing up, sleeves rolled up, ready to lend a hand. Small initiatives like Charity Days matter for life.
