As we grow our business, we seek to do this sustainably over the long term starting with small steps that will lead to a big impact.

We (Pavo) have joined Nevidi (De Nederlandse Vereniging Diervoederindustrie) together with our parent company ForFarmers. Nevedi to 100% sustainable soy in accordance with the FEFAC (Fefac soy sourcing guidelines), which means that all Pavo products that we produce ourselves in the Netherlands contain 100% sustainable soy.
Palm oil is known to be unhealthy, as it can increase blood cholesterol levels due to the high levels of saturated fatty acids it contains. The FEI has even banned this raw material. As Pavo sees it as its task to make an important contribution to the health of your horse, we deliberately avoid palm oil and therefore all Pavo products are 100% palm oil-free.
So far, we are the only company in this industry that uses only FSC® paper. You can recognise this by the FSC® logo on the packaging. FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council®. It is an international certification system for more sustainable forest management. In addition to using sustainable paper, we have managed to change our cereal bags from three to two layers of paper, saving around 20% of the paper in our packaging. In addition, all plastic packaging that is still needed is made from 100% recyclable plastic.
As a small but important step towards sustainability, some of our supplements are also available in refills, so you can give the supplement bucket a longer life and refill it again and again. So far Pavo Vital, Pavo NervControl and Pavo MuscleBuild are available in refills. We are working hard to bring you more products in refills as well.
